Pilot Institute is proud to announce that we are the first aviation company to become accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to offer Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).

What is continuing education and how can it benefit learners?

Many professions require people to complete continuing education to maintain their license. This includes teachers, architects, insurance professionals, engineers, first responders, health care workers, and more.

Pilot Institute is offering 2 CEUs for our industry-leading Part 107 Made Easy course. We are also offering 6 CEUs for our Private Pilot Made Easy course and 4 CEUs for our Instrument Rating Made Easy online ground school.

Each CEU represents 10 hours of instruction.

Our continuing education courses are unique because they allow you to become FAA certified which can directly help you with your career.

A Part 107 license allows you to legally fly your drone for non-recreational reasons in the United States. Drones are rapidly growing in popularity and they are used across dozens of industries.

Our Private Pilot course will prepare you for your FAA Written Exam, which is required to get a Private Pilot license.

Why Accreditation Matters

Becoming accredited is a testament to the level of quality of our courses. Many drone courses are taught by marketers with no aviation experience.

Our courses are taught by subject matter experts. Our Lead Instructor, Greg Reverdiau, is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. He has a Master’s Degree in Aviation and has managed multiple flight schools. He is also currently a University Professor at a leading school.

There is a rigorous application process to becoming IACET accredited. Accreditation has helped us fulfill our promise of high-quality education to our students.

IACET Accreditation

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) were created in 1970 by IACET and the United States Department of Education.

IACET is a non-profit that has partnered with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to standardize continuing education requirements.

Pilot Institute is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard.

IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training.

Pilot Institute’s Mission

Pilot Institute’s mission is to inspire a love for aviation and create world-class courses that remove the friction from passing the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) tests. This is summed up in our motto “Aviation Made Easy”.

Although we strive to make our classes easy to understand, we provide a comprehensive education with a focus on proficiency rather than relying on short-term memorization and cramming. Building a strong foundation and teaching the ‘why’ behind concepts is how our classes make attaining aviation knowledge easy.

Our goal is to bring high quality, in-depth material to students in an online format, which increases access and reduces cost compared to in-person instruction. Our courses combine the flexibility of remote learning with the structure and rigor of a university level curriculum.

Pilot Institute’s goal is to educate the next generation of pilots and help increase safety by bridging the gap between manned and unmanned aircraft. Drones are rapidly growing in popularity and importance and educating operators on how to fly safely and legally is paramount to reduce the likelihood of accidents with manned aircraft. Pilot Institute educates both manned and unmanned pilots so we are able to provide our students with a holistic education.
