West Virginia State Drone Laws
These laws apply in the entire state.

House Bill 4607 (2018)

Drone flight in West Virginia State Parks is allowed but only with the permission of the Park Superintendent and registration.

House Bill 3005 (2018)

  • Prohibits the use of drones to intentionally capture photographs, audio, or video of another person or private property of another without the other’s permission in a manner that invades their reasonable expectation of privacy. This also applies to following or contacting another person using a drone without the person’s permission.
  • Prohibits any drone use that harasses another person, disregards their safety, or violates a restraining order or a similar judicial order.

House Bill 2515 (2015)

Prohibits hunting wildlife using drones or other unmanned aircraft. This includes hunting, taking, killing, or shooting at wild animals or birds, as well as driving and herding them.
