1. North Shore Riverwalk Park
You can enjoy picturesque views of North Shore Riverwalk Park, north of the Arkansas River. Aerial drone photographers get to capture some inspiring footage. There’s the extended green space that meets Little Rock’s colorful city skyline at twilight. Other local sights to take in include several bridges and the docked USS Razorback submarine.
2. Two Rivers Park
Two Rivers Park in Little Rock is an ideal location for outdoorsy types. Amenities include hike and bike trails, beautiful gardens, and a profusion of local wildlife. Drone photographers can take to the skies and capture awe-inspiring views of wide-open fields, woodlands, and shimmering wetlands. Another aerial view attraction is the Two Rivers Park Bridge.
3. Pierce Creek Public Boat Landing
Pierce Creek Public Boat Landing is a scenic park located in Arkansas, with an elevation of 269ft. The 6700-acre site has a 52-mile shoreline that offers spectacular, changing views of the lake. Its sprawling area is a wonderful place for recreational drone users. The waterscape is especially appealing for drone photographers, with trees growing out of the water.
4. Boyle Park
Boyle Park, Little Rock, Arkansas, has plenty of appeal for recreational drone pilots. It’s situated within 243 acres of mature wooded hills where Rock Creek flows. There’s plenty to take in too. Some examples include historic buildings, open green fields, a fishing pond, stream, and earthen trails. There are also mountain bike trails that are ideal for recording in Follow Me mode.
5. Lake Maumelle
The impressive 8,900-acre manmade Lake Maumelle is a popular spot just 10 miles from Little Rock. Its 70-mile shoreline offers some enjoyable trailheads for hikers. The backdrop includes the distant Pinnacle Mountain and the lush wooded hills reflect majestically off the water’s surface. Lake Maumelle is a dream space for recreational drone pilots, whether flying for fun or filming.
6. Willow Beach Recreation Area and Campground
Accessed from Highway 165, Willow Beach Parks and Campgrounds is a forested area with a large lakefront, offering lots of opportunities for both drone flight practice and aerial photography. The lakefront views are the best for spending peaceful afternoons. You can also spend the night in any of the campsites here.
7. Murray Park
The Murray Park is right beside the Arkansas River and provides a great view of the historical Big Dam Bridge. The winding section of the Arkansas River is also great for aerial shots. The park itself has wide open fields perfect for doing light flight practice.
