1. Veterans Park

Veterans Park is another expansive recreation space on the shores of Lake Michigan. Drone pilots favor it for the open grassy lawns, big trees, scenic lake views, lagoon, and boats. The Milwaukee skyline is clearly visible and reflects majestically off the lake on calm days. This park is also popular with paddle boaters, kayakers, and fans of the Oak Leaf Trail. Be sure to visit the nearby McKinley Lakefront Marina if boats and floating docks interest you.

2. Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is a charming southeastern resort town in Wisconsin. It’s a scenic spot not far outside of Milwaukee. Camera drones can shoot stunning aerial footage of the lake, boats, and the surrounding densely wooded landscape. There are also some spectacular Gilded Age mansions dotted around the lakeside Shore Path.

Lake Geneva’s Big Foot Beach State Park is the place to head when it’s time to relax. It offers a 900ft manicured shoreline, boating activities, and miles of scenic hiking trails.

3. South Shore Park

The beautiful South Shore Park sits on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee. The open beach area is a great place for drones to film the shimmering water, bobbing yachts, and rip-rap. Moreover, distant views of the downtown Milwaukee skyline make for a stunning backdrop. Other attractions are the paved Oak Leaf Trail, boating, swimming, and parkland.

4. Washington Park

The 128-acre Washington Park (formerly West Park) is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Its popular Urban Ecology Center helps to educate visitors on environmental issues, conservation, and sustainability. Other favorite features are the large lagoon, open green spaces, healthy old trees, and a charming pond. This spacious, scenic property is ideal for flying camera drones looking down on its picturesque landscape.

5. Atwater Park

Atwater Park is a small 5-acre recreation space on the shore of Lake Michigan. Don’t let the park’s small size put you off. It offers the most spectacular lake views of anywhere. That’s because the land sits on a gentle hillside looking down over the sandy shore below. Historically, Atwater Park functioned as a major gathering space for local communities. Today, it’s a welcome escape from city life and a prime spot to fly and film the scenic views with camera drones.

6. Manitowoc Harbor

This harbor is rich in interesting objects to film. Two walls extend from the shore on either side to help protect the shore and ships from Lake Michigan's waves. There's a lighthouse at of one of the walkeable pier and huge expanse of wide open water where you can fly your drone with fewer obstacles.

7. Richard Bong State Recreation Area

This 4,515 acre state park is a popular destination for RVs and campers. It has 8.3 miles of biking trails and several small lakes. There are places to ATV and enough space to fly fixed wing model aircraft.
