1. Leddy Park and Leddy Beach

If you want the best views of Lake Champlain, then you can’t do much better than flying a drone from Leddy Park. This park is considered one of the “hidden gems” of Burlington and rarely gets crowded. Take note that you will be flying in controlled airspace and will need LAANC authorization.

2. Starr Farm Park

Starr Farm Park is adjacent to Lake Champlain and the Burlington Bike Path, in Uncontrolled Airspace. The large park has athletic fields, a dog park, a community garden, and a playground. You can launch your drone here and fly out to the beach to catch more spectacular views.

3. Maple Street Park

Maple Street Park is a large park consisting of three baseball diamonds and two sports fields. Careful flying here and remember to get airspace approval!

4. Battery Park

Battery Park is a great spot to overlook Lake Champlain. While not situated directly on the lake, the park offers close proximilty and fantastic views. Be sure to get airspace approval prior to flying!

5. North Beach Park

North Beach Park is another park located on Lake Champlain, with acess to Lone Rock Point. Again, this park falls within controlled airspace, be sure to get LAANC approval!

6. Red Rocks Park

Red Rocks Park is located south of Burlington, and inside of controlled airspace. This park has a great view of Shelburne Bay and Shelburne point.

7. Mount Mansfield

Mount Mainsfield is located 20 miles east of Burlington, and offers changes in topography, Ski/Snowboard slopes, and gondolas.

8. Owl’s Head

Owl's Head is a summit trail with almost 500 feet of elevation gain. At the summit of this trail is a beautiful vista and the perfect place to fly your drone for even further elevated shots!

9. Causeway Park

Causeway park is locaed on the Lake Champlain causeway, and offers the lake as its primary scenery. This spot is outside of controlled airspace.
