Vermont State Drone Laws

Code of Statutes Title 10 Appendix Chapter 1

  • Prohibits the use of drones to locate, surveil, or aid or assist in attempting to locate or surveil any wild animal.
  • Prohibits the use of drone to drive or harass any wild animal.

Vermont Statutes Section 4622

  • Prohibits the weaponization of drones.
  • Regulates the use of drones by law enforcement agencies. The use of drones to gather or keep personal data on private citizens peacefully exercising their constitutional rights shall be prohibited. The use of a drone to gather information for an investigation, detection, or prosecution of crimes is also prohibited.

Town of Colchester

Prohibits landing, launching, or operating a drone within park property except in emergency law enforcement situations or if permission has been secured from the Director.
