1. Lakewood Park

Lakewood Park is an incredible lakefront recreation area of outstanding beauty. The focal point must be the Solstice Steps situated on a hillside. It’s where visitors enjoy the most amazing, scenic views of Lake Erie and the Cleveland Skyline. The best time to take your seat is at sunset. There’s a lot of open space here to fly drones and capture these exceptional sights.

3. Oasis Marinas at Port Lorain

Oasis Marina is a great place to view Lake Erie. From the end of the lookout, Lorain Harbor Lighthouse is only 2000 feet away. The lake and marina provides a fantastic place for hyperlapse, golden hour, and lighthouse shots.

4. Bradstreet Fishing Pier

Bradstreet Fishin Rier is a great way to get onto the lake, without needing a boat. Beware however that this park falls within class B airspace.

5. East Fork State Park

East Fork State Park is a perfect day use location for drones. The park is situated on the beach of William H. Harsha Lake. Note that there is an entrance fee for this location.

6. Stonelick State Park

Stonelick Lake is another awesome lake location east of Cincinnati. With a beach, fields, and boat ramp, nearly any shot is possible!

7. Keehner Park

Keehner Park is an 80 acre park with two baseball diamonds and numerous other open fields. This is the perfect place for training, FPV ripping, or practicing your mauevers.

8. Purple People Bridge

The Purple People Bridge is an awesome location for shots of the Ohio River, Great American Ball Park, and Paul Brown Staduim. Beware of barge traffic and air traffic in this area, along with game-day TFRs that may pop up!

9. French Park

French Park is a park north of Cincinnati, offering numberous trails and a 1900s mansion. The mansion is a great subject for both photos and video.

10. Bellevue Hill Park

Bellevue Hill Park is the perfect place to overlook Cincinnati. the Bellevue cliff provides a great place to capture the cityscape and skyline.

11. LaDue Reservoir

The 1962 LaDue Reservoir is set in a stunning natural landscape in Ohio’s Auburn and Troy townships. The surface covers an area of 1477 acres of shimmering water. The surrounding landscape encompasses 8791 acres of wilderness teeming with wildlife. There are designated zones here for hunting and fishing pursuits. Drone pilots can enjoy flying and filming the tranquil lake and surrounding wildlands, or capture themselves Kayaking on the water.

Points to note: LaDue Reservoir is a no-contact lake. That means no people or pets can swim in its water. There are also a few No Trespassing zones to protect sensitive areas around the dams.

12. Horseshoe Lake Park

Shaker Heights, Ohio, is home to the 146-acre Horseshoe Lake Park. It’s a picturesque spot with a central tree-lined lake. There are some pleasant trails in and around the park. Along the pathed section are a few amenities, i.e., a natural playground, a rain garden, and a treehouse. The pathed track also joins the Cleveland Heights trail that runs along North Park Boulevard.

It’s a gorgeous location for drone photographers to shoot scenic views. You may want to film low across the water to capture the intimacy of this enchanting park.
