1. Pony Express Air Park

This RC Flying Site in Carson City is ran by the High Sierra Radio Control Club. It’s not a very scenic site and may be a bit rustic for most, but it does have wide open space for you to fly a drone. Take note that you will need an AMA membership to fly your drone here.

2. Peavine Peak

The Peavine is a mountain in Reno with recreation trails and great views of the region. This is a large recreation area that extends into California. There is good diversity in scenery in Peavine, ranging from barren scrublands to conifer forests. The peak of the mountain offers good views of the surrounding areas, but stay a good distance away from the radio towers to avoid signal interference.

3. Reno Radio Control Club

The RC Flying Site of the Reno Radio Control Club can be accessed either via Eagle Canyon Drive or Lemmon Valley Drive. This is a great spot to fly for drone pilots in Reno who would like to get help from experts are just to get in touch with other drone pilots. Take note that you will need an AMA membership to fly your drone here.
