2. Two Moon Park
Just over a small hill in downtown Billings is Two Moon Park. This park is situated right beside the river and feels more natural than man-made with its unpaved trails. Two Moon Park is rarely crowded, making it a great spot for spontaneous drone flight missions.

With hills, flatlands, open fields, and thick forests, drone pilots have a huge selection of interesting takeoff points for flight. Just make sure to pack your sun hood and some water – it’s a pretty long drive out here.
5. Coulson Park
A relatively small park close to downtown Billings, Coulson Park is a more accessible spot for flying your drone over the Yellowstone riverfront. There’s plenty of trees here if you prefer having shade over you while flying a drone. The industrial area right beside Coulson Park somewhat disrupts its serenity as a nature spot, but makes for some unique photo compositions.
6. Moss Mansion
The Moss Mansion easily stands out in central Billings because of its beautiful garden and characteristic reddish-brown exterior. While a tour of the museum is highly recommended, you can also spend a few minutes taking photos of the house and its surroundings with a drone. Take note that this is private property and we strongly recommend asking for permission before flying your drone.
