1. City-Brooks Community Park

The manicured landscape of the City Brooks Community Park make it one of the best places for drone photography. The art gellery at the center of the park is also one of its more distinct features. Although there are no rules that outright forbid the use of drones in this community park, we recommend getting touch with BREC for the proper approvals.

2. Highland Road Community Park

This spacious park has a wide variety of terrain and facilities. The woods, nature trails, and disc golf course would be good spots to fly a drone if you can avoid the crowds. You can also fly to the southern end of the park to catch views of the observatory and the bayou.

3. Burbank Park

Burbank Park is a favorite fishing and walking spot for locals. With its wide open space, there are virtually endless spots for you to safely fly a drone. The park is flanked at the southern and eastern sides by forested areas just past the baseball diamond, which make for great aerial shots.

4. Flanacher Road Park

Amidst the wide open field of Flanacher Road Park is a small pond, a playground, and an indoor facility. If you’re bringing a drone, it would be best to launch within the field and fly into the surroundings woods. This should give you more than enough space to fly around for a few hours and take a couple of nice photos.
