Locations Map

1. Evel Knievel Jump Site

A portion of the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls is the site of the historical final jump of motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel. The dirt ramp from which he launched from is still visible to this day either from the Twin Falls Visitor Center or from the end of the trail originating from Shoshone Falls. The ramp itself makes a great subject for your drone videos, but it is also surrounded by a wide barren space that is perfect for safe drone flight.

2. Shoshone Falls

Shoshone Falls is one of the most scenic spots in Twin Falls, Idaho. You can launch your drone from the viewing deck to capture amazing videos of the white water cascading from the falls and against the eroded rocks. If you can manage to get here in time for the sunset, then you’re bound to record videos that are for the books.

NOTE: The Shoshone Falls viewing deck is 275 feet AGL from the canyon floor. Bear this in mind for drone flights downstream while over the canyon and “above” the dam for aerial shots. While the dam itself is not explicitly listed as a federal critical infrastructure, it is highly advised to fly around the damn on either side of the canyon and not over the dam.

3. Perrine Memorial Bridge

What drone pilot doesn’t love to navigate, photograph, and film the nation’s incredible bridges? Idaho’s Perrine Bridge guarantees to award you with some dramatic footage from interesting angles. The bridge is close to the Shoshone Falls Park, and the entire area represents some of the most beautiful scenery Idaho has to offer aerial photographers.
