Charts, weather maps, and flight plans go up on two 100-inch screens placed to avoid glare, so you can read them from any seat.

The tools you'll use on the job
You train on professional flight planning and weather systems, not classroom mock-ups, so your first day at an airline feels familiar.
Weather briefing system
Live weather, airport reports and forecasts (called METARs and TAFs), and warnings of weather hazards to flights.
Flight planning software
Professional software of the kind airlines use to build routes and work out fuel.
Aircraft situation display
A live map of air traffic across the country, so you can follow flights the way a dispatcher does.
Digital charts and plates
Jeppesen and FAA charts, plus the approach plates (each airport's published landing procedures) for every airport you plan a flight to.
A day in the classroom
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, for four weeks. Each day runs like a shift at an airline.
Morning weather briefing
You start the way airline dispatchers do: by reviewing the weather across the country and deciding what it means for today's flights.
Core instruction
Regulations, aircraft performance, navigation, and weather, taught with the day's real conditions up on the big screens.
Lunch downtown
You get an hour to eat at one of the 20+ restaurants a few blocks away. Most students go with classmates.
Hands-on flight planning
You plan flights on the professional software, work through real dispatch scenarios, and explain each decision to your instructor.
After 4pm, optional study sessions and instructor help are available.
